Terrorists

Who are terrorists? Well, the answer is statistical, a famous type of lie. The odds are good that if you were to get a terrorist, that terrorist would be an Islamic religiomaniac. But those are not the only terrorists. I've decided to list all the non-Islamic terrorist organizations, which get enough representation in the news and are so numerous it would make the project difficult. As I go through the list, do note that Islam is the worst. Also, some of these 'terrorist organizations' might be freedom fighters or whatnot. I'm also ignoring the charge that the US does activities that make us essentially terrorists, or state sponsors of terrorism.

Christians have their Eric Rudolph. He belonged to a group called Christian Identity, which is still around. There's also Army of God, which is like a Venn diagram that looks like a single circle. James Charles Kopp shot a doctor and was sheltered for quite some time by Christian nutballs.

The Christians also have Orange/Red hands that fought against the IRA and splinter groups.

The ETA is Spain is probably made of mostly Catholics.

The Tamil Tigers actually invented the suicide bomber (they're Hindu), and have bombed Buddist temples, though some make the case they are freedom fighters.

Babbar Khalsa, and Dal Khalsa are Sikh groups who want an independent state they call 'Land of the Pure' out of India.

Aum Shinrikyo did those Tokyo attacks - some sort of nutball cult.

Some would strongly argue that Jewish settlers are themselves a form of terrorism. They certainly make poor neighbors. Who knows how wide you want to cast the word, but Jews have Kach and Kahane Chai, terrorist groups that Israel banned.

All the religions have terrorists. You show me the religion, I'll show you the nutballs.

Sikhs in India are labeled terrorists from the Hindu Government so the rest of the world doesnt investigate their corruption because 1,000s of Sikhs were killed in 1984 and later because the Hindus dont like them saying there is 1 God. Its like the government kills your town cause you have blonde hair and you finally fight back but now your labeled a terrorist cause you actually fought back.
The word terrorist on a Sikh is a scapegoat for a police force or gov that is corrupt.

Sikhs in India want a tiny stae called Khalistan because the Hindu majority likes to disgrace there well being{Jobs, water, basic living} and if they had their own stae maybe other countries would help them to not be killed for just existing.

The confederates wanted slavery but were held back by the union.Sikhs want Khalistan just to be able to live like any other country.

Do a little research other than bias research and you will be revealed the acctual truth of the matter.

Well, here we have the combination of religion and bad writing.

I'm not making excuses for state sanctioned violence. The fact remains that Babbar Khalsa is considered a terrorist group, as such groups are defined. But just look at the effects. May 05 bombings of movie theaters who had the audacity to show a movie critical of the faith called Jo Bole So Nihaal. The bombing Air India 182.

Nice stuff.

"Terrorist" is usually thought of as someone who uses random violence to achieve their aims. But really it's the effect of the violence they're after - the terror that the violence inspires. If you broaden the definition, then, it's someone who uses terror to achieve their goal or promote their cause.

What about fear mongers in politics, who use scare tactics to forward their agendas? Are they terrorists?

Just wondering.

Ooo! I want to be the first Unitarian terrorist... I'm going to... uh... throw water balloons at you because you don't believe in [insert deity not of choice here] and while i can't say that you're wrong, throwing water balloons is fun. Yeah!

Seriously, unfortunately, no matter how we try to separate religion from state, it falls back together and whenever that happens, terrorists result. You have the right of it.

Def: terrorist: one that engages in acts or an act of terrorism.

terrorism: n : the calculated use of violence (or threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimindation or coercion or instilling fear.

So essentially, if you adopt an open mind, state sanctioned violence is terrorism.

That definition sounds a lot like my third grade teacher and every nun I used to know.

By the way, do we still have that Terrorism/Fear/Wet-your-pants Level appearing on TV screens? If the answer is yes, I just don't see it anymore. If no, where'd it go?
