Conservative Blogs are Shit.

I don't get off on reading what I agree with, so I don't go to liberal blogs as much as conservative ones. Some I find quite good, insightful and funny. I'm fiscally conservative, so I agree with some of their postings. But most of it absolute dogmatic crap.

It's obvious that there are meta-blogs out there that feed talking points and entire posts, which each conservative blog then plagerizes with a link or just goes on some rant. These are called blogbursts. For instance, many conservative blogs have an anti-ACLU rant, this one thought it was so good he posts something similar twice. Wow, felons who have regained their constitutional rights voting: that is a horror on a scale I cannot appreciate.

In other news, it seems that Bolton is actually a terrific guy, great diplomat. Those damn dems are engaged in agiprop about the whole thing. The part about how he didn't actually negotiate with North Korea while they were arming themselves with Weapons of the Most Massive Destruction (WMMD, simply named to distinguish it from the Pretend WMD in Iraq) seemed not to come up. The part about how Condi said she would keep him on a tight leash (and why would that be needed) didn't seem to come up either.

I learned that the Iraq insurgents have no goals other than killing, and we need to plan accordingly (no, I'm not making this stuff up.)

I learned that liberals think all black people are liberals and are against the American family.

Here are some things I didn't learn:
- How many Americans have been killed in Iraq as of this month.
- How much this war is costing and where the money is coming from.
- Why we went to war.
- What DeLay is up to.
- Anything about the Bush memo.
- Anything about social security or the present economic state we are in.
- Anything about the environment.
- Anything about culture.
- Anything about civic responsibilities.
- Anything about our nation's place in the world on a social, economic, or political level.
- Anything about education.

It's interesting to see what conservatives are not talking about, with the weight of their preference going to the horrible ACLU and other things they hate, like a plural America, where the rights of minorities of other ethnic, economic, and sexual ways of life are protected. They also hate secularism, and the various forms it takes, like our judiciary (at some points in our history, like when our country was founded by a bunch of deists, atheists, agnostics, and christians (who got together) one could have extended the charge of secularism to more than one branch of government).

Again, I did it so perhaps you won't have to, just like watching Ocean's 12.

It's very comforting to go to blogs that regurgitate everything you think or feel, like you, I visit "others" to see, A) Am I going in the wrong direction? B) What is the opposition saying? C) For the fun of it.

Looking at A)...I have to reconsider...I could not think I was going in the wrong direction politically or any other way and stand brushing me teeth in the morning...that flash of face in the mirror would do me in.

Also I'm tired of being an artificial minority.

That "brushing me teeth in the morning" is a bit of my Irish heritage seeping in...

MY! I meant...MY! could be a typo...

You setup your post by trying to express what an open mind you have, and how this is the reason why you troll conservative blogs. But then you paint all conservatives in a single light and name your post "Conservative Blogs are Shit"? How can you damn those who make generalizations based on race or political ideology when you are blatenty guilty of it yourself?

Ps: Funny how wrong you ended up being on the Newsweek Koran story. How's that shoe leather tasting?

Kevin he does it because it's his blog and he's the king of it.

DOC: BTW: My list looks an awful lot like yours.

I've done the same as you and I've learned that liberal is a bad word. Anyone who is interested in education, any amount of gun control, or dislikes the president in any way shape or form is obviously a liberal, no matter how they vote or what they think on other issues. Oh, also, people who ahve these interests must be anti-war and therefore unpatriotic even if it was never mentioned in any comment they have ever made. Which means they are a bad word. It's enough to make me turn liberal, liberal it all.

Kevin, look, I'm sorry that your post was shit. I mean, you don't even understand how someone could be upset that their religious book was thrown into a toilet. As proof of your utter idiocy, you threw a mass produced Grisham equivalent into a toilet and took a picture. Talk about a not apt analogy! The very worst thing was that you thought you were being clever.

For my other readers, you can check out Kevin's book analogy at his blog site, unless he suffers an acute attack of good taste or good sense and takes it down.

His is actually typical of conservative blogs: stupid and narrow.

Oh yeah, I do have an open mind, on the condition that an argument is presented with some degree of smarts. You can consider that, in your case particularly, this condition was not fulfilled.

But I do have an idea for the next thing you can flush down the toilet.

Echrai, I totally agree. Such is the polarizing darkness of these blogs, that anyone with any characteristic of liberalism becomes essentially a commie. This is done mostly out of sloth.
